Rahul Dravid Says No To Honorary Doctorate, The Reason Will Make You Love Him Even More
Dravid, who earned the moniker of ‘The Wall’ for his reliability when it came to saving the Indian team from a precarious situation, has again shown character, this time off the field. Rahul Dravid was nominated for an honorary doctorate degree by Bangalore University, but the former Indian cricket team captain declined it.
Former Indian cricket captain and batting great Rahul Dravid on Wednesday declined to accept an honorary doctorate degree conferred on him by the Bangalore University, saying that he would like to accomplish research in the field of sports and then earn the degree.
The Bangalore University had decided to honor the batting great at their 52nd Annual Convocation ceremony on January 27. Dravid, however, declined the offer. Dravid’s decline was shown by Bangalore University in a press release which also mentions that the cricketer has declined to accept the honorary degree with all humility.

The ever hard-working man on the field again showed taking short cuts was just not his style. Currently the coach of the under-19 Indian cricket team, Dravid played 164 Tests and 344 ODIs scoring 13288 and 10889 runs respectively.
