On R-Day and I-Day, Rajasthan govt to honour those who adopt stray cows
Congress has promised to increase grants for cow shelters

Congress will felicitate those people who are willing to adopt stray cows on the Republic and Independence Day.

After the congress government came to power, on December 28 Directorate of Gopalan Said: “Those charitable and sensitive citizens, who have adopted stray cows, will be felicitated at the state level by the district collector on Independence or the Republic Day.”

Rajasthan named their first Cow Minister, Mr. Otaram Devasi under the BJP government. The Current Cow Minister is Mr. Pramod Bhaya.

The government urges collectors to motivate officials, public, social workers, and officials to adopt cows that are wandering the streets of Rajasthan.

“Whoever wants to adopt cows can deposit a specific amount decided by local gaushalas and can visit the cow shelters any time to see the animals. If a sensitive person wants to keep a stray cow at his home to look after it, he can adopt it.” was said by the government.

People who live in Rajasthan can submit their applications to the district collector, sub divisional officers, public relations department, and animal husbandry department.

Anil Kaushik the joint director, planning Department of Gopalan said: “The purpose of the order is to motivate charitable people towards adopting stray cows and sending them to cow shelters. As a result of this, the income of cow shelters will also increase and it will also ensure effective upkeep and maintenance of the animals.”

In the order sent by the Government of Rajasthan says that the adoption scheme will follow initiative by the district collectors of Alwar and Jhalawar.
