Ranbir Kapoor To Play ‘Dacoit’ In Yashraj Films ‘Shamshera’
One of the biggest production of Bollywood, the yashraj films has officially announce their new project with ranbir Kapoor on Monday morning i.e. on 7th May 2018. The action adventure film with high action sequences is titled ‘Shamshera’ and will be helmed by the director, karan malhotra, who made his successful debut entry into the industry framing Hrithik Roshan as ‘Agneepath’. The film would be completely masala entertainer and promises to bring out a never seen before avatar of Sanju actor Ranbir.
The official announcement of the film was made through a tweet by Yashraj films via twitter with a short teaser. The video is for 45 seconds and we can see scarred face of Ranbir as he holds an axe in one hand and arrows in the other one. Ranbir Kapoor, who still has the image of lover boy in the most of the films in his career spanning ten years in the industry, will be now assay the role of dacoit in Shamshera “करम से डकैत, धरम से आज़ाद Presenting #RanbirKapoor in a never seen before avatar in YRF’s next action adventure #SHAMSHERA. Ranbir Kapoor, talking about Shamshera, in a statement said, “Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for. While growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should be doing. Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it’s a very exciting project for me. Karan is going to take me completely out of my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to this challenge.”
The yashfilms, ‘Shamshera’ is expected to be on the sets by the end on 2018 and will be wrap by mid 2019. Earlier to that, Ranbir will be seen as Khalnayak of Bollywood Sanjay Dutt in his June 29 release Sanju. He is also going to be screened with Alia Bhatt for the first time in Ayan Mukherji’s that will hit the screen on August 15th, 2018.
