Rebel BJP Leader Alleges Political Parties Playing Vote Bank Politics Against Backward Castes And Poor

Panipat: Rebel BJP Member of Parliament Raj Kumar Saini on Sunday slammed several political parties by accusing them of doing “vote bank” politics over OBCs, poor, farmers, backward classes and then dumping them after coming to power.

The former BJP Member and lawmaker from Kurukshetra on Sunday announced the launch of his new political party ‘Loktantra Suraksha Party’ and claimed that despite the promises made by various political parties to work for the welfare and improvement in the condition of backward classes, OBCs, poor and farmers in the county, there was no sign of such things after they came to power.

“Over the last seven decades, the OBCs, backward classes, the poor and farmers have been used as a vote bank by various parties. Now the time has come to stand up and ensure that they get justice,” he said while speaking at the ‘Loktantra Bachao’ (save democracy) rally.

He sought for getting rid of “politics of hypocrisy”.

Mr. Saini, who is popular for his strict anti-Jat stand, reiterated that he was not against of any kind of reservation for any particular community and was completely in favor of taking all sections along.

Mr. Saini is seeing himself a leader of OBC slammed Congress, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and even the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).

“People gave 12 chances to Congress during different elections over the years, but they betrayed their trust and discriminated against them each time they came to power,” he said.

He further went on to criticize the INLD and Congress of promoting nepotism and regarding BJP he said the party is “appeasing Jats and “kneeling” before them during the quota protests two years ago.

He claimed that the party did not an address any of their issues despite the backward classes supported the BJP in the Lok Sabha and state assembly polls.

He went out to allege that shops and commercial establishments of a particular community were left untouched during the violence of February 2016 Jat quota agitation in Haryana that resulted in deaths of at least 30 persons.

Mr. Saini accused former chief ministers Bansi Lal, OP Chautala and BS Hooda for promoting “favouritism and regional bias” despite being from the predominant Jat community.

Mr.Saini requested the people to help him by strengthening his new outfit by saying, “I am not here for any CM or PM’s post… This is not my fight, but together we have to work to bring a change in the political course where infringement of rights of socially marginalized will not be allowed.”
