Reliance Jio’s LYF Smartphone ‘Water’ Allegedly Explodes In User’s Hand
Reliance is in the headlines in India for its Jio 4G service like never before in india. It is talked about by everyone for the cheap 4G services, free calls and other good things. The hype was so huge that there were even reports that people were selling Jio sim cards in blackmarket. But, the company is in the news for a bad thing as well.
LYF 4G Smartphones have turned into the latest hotpick of the tech market, after Reliance decided to partner with it while launching its much awaited 4G services. The high-speed internet services works only Voice over LTE services. LYF is one of those brands which comes along with VoLTE feature at a cheap price.
However, as per a viral post on social media, a LYF smartphone exploded while being used. The user claims to be from Kathua region in Jammu & Kashmir.
The images of his hand sustaining burn injuries and the phone being permanently damaged are being circulated on social media.
According to a report, the user was said to be browsing Facebook on his LYF Water 1, and the device suddenly exploded in his hand and now he is being treated for injuries on his hand. Following are a few photos shared by him.
As of now, the users got the treatment for his hand, but the reason is not yet known, and this is one rare incident where the smartphone wasn’t plugged in. It’s a serious issue and one to be taken care off immediately.
This also comes days after Samsung announced recalling its high-end Note-7 lineup over concerns of its battery exploding.
Recently there were also reports of others phones like Galaxy Note 7, OnePlus Three and iPhone exploding. We hope no such incidents occur before the company issues a statement along with possible ramification. Till then, be careful and ignore using the handset if gets warm.
