Reserve Bank Of India: Everything You Need To Know About The New Rs. 20 Bill

Recently, the RIB (Reserve Bank of India) announced that they will be releasing new Rs. 20 Notes under the New Series of Mahatma Gandhi Notes, the Rs. 20 note will also have the signature of Shaktikanta Das, the Governor of the Central Bank.

A Statement released by the RBI said, “The Rs. 20 note will be greenish-yellow in color. The new banknote has a motif of Ellora Caves on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage.”

The Reserve Bank of India added that all the notes under the denomination issued earlier will be in legal tender.

The new note has a new design, a new geometric pattern that is aligned with its color scheme and is obverse and reverse.

The official statement from the RBI said that the dimensions of the new Rs. 20 bills are 63mm x 129mm.

The front side of the bill has a see-through section that has a denominational number of 100, a latent image with the number and a Devanagari Version of the same.
