After the booming announcement of his next Marathi production venture Mauli under the production of Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh banners, the male lead lead Riteish found his leading lady in Saiyami Kher, the young debutant into the Marathi film industry. Mentioning about the casting of Saiyami Kher as the actress of the film, the producers said, “We were looking for a fresh face to cast in Mauli and we found that in Saiyami. She is young, vivacious & fits the character of a ‘Fire Brand Marathi Mulgi’ to the tee. We are extremely excited to collaborate with her & looking forward to working with her.”

The male lead and the producer Riteish says, “As an actor, I’ve always wanted to experiment with various genres and thankfully, in the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to do so.  Lai Bhaari made me believe I could attempt the action drama genre and after I read MAULI’s script, I knew I was ready for my second Marathi film.”

The female lead Saiyami says, “Delighted to work in a language that I am very proud of… my mother tongue Marathi. That too opposite Riteish in his home production. Riteish very successfully introduced a new genre of Action/ Drama to Marathi cinema with Lai Bhari. MAULI is a film which will always be very close to my heart because it takes me back to my Maharashtrian roots. I will really miss my grandma on this journey because she would have been very proud to see my Marathi debut. I’m really excited and seek everyone’s good wishes and blessings.”

Mrs. Genelia Riteish Deshmukh, the producer of the Mumbai productions says, “Rooted in the musical action drama genre, Mauli is one of the most ambitious films produced by us at Mumbai Film Company. After Faster Fene, we are happy to extend our association with Director Aditya Sarpotdar & writer Kshitij Patwardhan. With Mauli going on floors now, we will also be making a few more exciting announcements very soon!”.

Mauli is already on the floor, Saiyami will be joining the sets of the Marathi film very shortly. The film is written by Kshitij Patwardhan & is directed by  Aditya Sarpotdar. The film is expected to be on the screens by the end of the year or in the early 2019.
