Sasikala’s Unusual Hand Gesture At Jayalalithaa’s Memorial Has Left Twitterati In Splits

Ever since the demise of J Jayalalithaa, there have been a lot of twists and turns in the political arena of Tamil Nadu, especially within her party AIADMK. Yes, the politics of the state were quite messed up with lots of tragedy and suspense in the state.

Recently, Long-time Jayalalithaa aide VK Sasikala has been convicted by the Supreme Court and sentenced to four years in jail in the 20-year-old disproportionate assets case, dashing her plans to become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

So, before starting off on her way to Bengaluru to surrender in court and serve out her four year sentence, Sasikala went to the Amma Jayalalithaa’s graveyard to pay her tributes.

But, Sasikala has puzzled everyone out there after she ritualistically struck former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s grave in Chennai Marina Beach three times with her palm.

Sasikala reached the burial site along with her sister J Elavarasi, a fellow convict in the case after she left Amma’s Poe’s Garden residence on Wednesday morning,  with a convoy of relatives and some AIADMK leaders bringing up the rear.

The videos of Sasikala muttering things under her breath as she paid homage to Amma’s grave soon went viral, and of course Twitter caught “up in no time.

While speculation is rife as to why “Chinamma” struck Amma’s’s grave the way she did before leaving, with many claiming she took a vow in front of the grave.
