South Indian actor Siddharth is one celebrity who has an ocean of fan following despite not being too active on the filmy circuit. He made his Bollywood debut with ‘Rang De Basanti’ which was a big hit. Tamil actor Siddharth may not be a big name in the Bollywood, but he is a very talented artist and a great human being.
He stands up for what is right and always there to help someone in need. This is the reason that makes him all the more appealing. This actor is a responsible citizen too and never shies away from making his voice heard regarding the societal problems and political issues, and often he has been praised by his fans for the same.
But this time the actor, who is known for his role in Rang De Basanti, seemingly got it wrong and provoked criticism on Twitter.
Currently, the beef ban issue is one of the most sensitive issues in India. Anyone who has commented on this issue has faced the wrath of the people of India. While the BJP has banned the selling of cattle for slaughtering in animal markets, many have perceived it as a ban on beef. Commenting on the topic, Siddharth invited loads of backlash on Twitter.
Now, actor Siddharth has commented on the sensitive issue but has only provoked criticism. Here’s what he tweeted:
Dear #BJP you have power. Empower #India. Stay out of people’s private choices. Stop this #Hindu nation narrative. We are better than that.

The row about #cattle markets is unnecessary and only polarises people. State govts allow or disallow slaughter. #Center should stay out.

Most of us are neither #bhakts nor #libtards or whatever these ugly names are. We are just #Indians. Live and let live. Stop the hate!

He also talked about the beef fest protest in IIT Madras.
Broken face and broken arm got into a fight. Who hit whom? & since when did #IIT students start whacking each other? pic.twitter.com/S38R7ckE7u

His comments, of course, didn’t go down well with many people, who criticised him.
I don’t think u have read notification. Centre’s notification is on cattle trade not slaughter. It’s twisted like that by opposition

Pls get the facts right. Govt didnt get into private choice of people. Stop provoking people.
