India is celebrating its 70th republic day today, and South African president Cyril Ramaphosa is set to be the Chief Guest in the spectacular event. Prime Minister Modi invited President Ramaphosa to be the chief guest during the G20 summit in Argentina. Prime Minister Modi believes that this will help strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

President Cyril Ramaphosa was elected as the president of South Africa last year. He became one of South Africa’s wealthiest business executives and a union leader. President Cyril is also a member of the African National Congress’s revolutionary vanguard.

During the 90-minute long parade of the 70th Republic Day, 58 tribal guests from different areas of the country will be part of the parade, this will include 22 tableaux of states, school children’s, and central government departments.

The 70th Republic Day parade is set to show the strong woman power with an all all-women Assam Rifles contingent, also a woman will be seen performing daring bike stunts on the Rajpath.

The Army Services Corps, contingents of the navy, and a unit of Copts will be commanded by women officers.

Veterans of the INA of Subash Chandra Bose will also participate in the 90-minute Republic Day Parade.
