Southern Railway Tower Wagon Driver Recruitment 2018: 8 Vacancies Online – For filling up of vacancies in Tower Wagon Driver (Ex-Cadre) in Pay Matrix Level – 5 (Pay Band 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay 2800) in TRD unit of Electrical Department – SA Division. In connection of the above, it is proposed to fill up eight vacancies (05 of Unreserved, 02 of Scheduled Caste and 01 of Scheduled Tribe) of Tower Wagon Driver (ex-cadre post) in Pay Matrix Level 5 in TRD unit of Electrical Department/ SA Division, as sufficient/ suitable candidates are not available.

The selection consists of a written test and those securing the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination shall be considered for a further process that is an assessment of records etc. Those selected for the post should successfully complete the requisite training ZRTI/ TPJ before being allowed to take up independent duty as Tower Wagon Driver. To fill up the above posts, volunteers are called for from regular serving employees of Tech II and Tech II of all departments & workshops of all divisions in Southern Railway Subject to the fulfilment of following conditions. Employees must be holding the post of Technician II in Pay Matrix Level – 04 of Technician III in pay Matrix Level 2.

Applicant should possess the minimum educational qualification of Matriculation pass or its equivalent. Below 52 years of age as on 11th September 2018. Candidates should also be capable of locating failures and carry out repairs and maintain the Tower Wagon in the food fettle. The tenure period for the above post is maximum five years and the employees selected against the post will automatically be reverted to parent cadre after completion of five years or earlier as per the needs of administration.
