A Kolhapuri couple, who had met and fallen in love while trekking, just decided to tie the knot, with all their friends and family in attendance. But, they wanted to do something different that would make them stand out in the crowd.  So they decided to marry in a unique fashion.

THEY GOT MARRIED SUSPENDED IN THE AIR, 90 METRES OFF THE GROUND.

Witnessed by over 1,200 people, including villagers and relatives from both sides of the couple Zehdir and Reshma, the wedding ceremony was performed mid-air in the valley, 90 meters above the ground. Zehdir and Reshma were both attired in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding dress, hung from a ropeway and went about their nuptials like it was no big deal.

Look at them casually suspended, starting their life together.

Zehdir and Reshma braved the height and adorned one another with garlands while the crowd beneath cheered them on. The priest, Dholi, who joined them mid-air, started reciting the wedding mantras and completed all the rituals, except the ‘saat pheras’ around the auspicious fire.

According to ABP News, the groom said: “I wanted to make my wedding different”.All precautions were taken keeping in mind the safety of the couple.
