How Much Money Does It Take To Print The Latest 500 & 2000 Rupee Notes? Check It Out
Following the historic decision made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8th demonetizing the old 500 and 1000 rupee notes, various questions started haunting the common people.
The expenditure in printing the new Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes is one such kind of question, the RBI stated the relative statistics in a notice, they said that the notes are printed by Bhartiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran Private Limited (BRBNMPL), a subsidiary of RBI located in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore.
It was further mentioned that Rs 3.02 is spent in printing each new Rs 500 note and Rs 3.54 is spent in printing the each new Rs 2000 note.
Though the cost of printing the new 500 rupees note is equal to the old 500 rupees note, slight variation is observed in the 2000 rupees note.
