TRS to take decision on no-confidence motion soon
Hyderabad: The TDP party is to take a crucial decision over the no-confidence issue very soon. The motion was first called by YSRC Chief Mr. Jagan and he dared CM Naidu to support him and join to take a no-confidence motion against the ruling BJP-led NDA alliance at the Centre, for which TDP at first decided to support, but after party’s politburo meet, they decided to go all alone and move a separate and independent no confidence motion.
Speaking on the issue the TRS MP namely B Vinod Kumar said on Friday that the leadership of TDP would finalize a step for no confidence motion which would be moved against the NDA government at the centre.
The issue surfaced due to the negligiance of Central Government in the budget allocations for AP which was promised to be given Special Status to develop its infrastructure after the bifurcation of the State from Telangana.
The CM of Telangana KCR will also address the issue as soon as the move for no confidence motion is admitted by the Speaker and regarding the support, it will concentrate on the issues for which the no confidence motion is being performed rather than merely supporting the parties associated with the motion.
“We are fighting in Parliament for fulfillment of assurances made to Telangana State on the floor of the House, and our main concern is to get maximum benefits for the State” said AP Jithender Reddy, TRS floor leader in Lok Sabha asserting that nothing was fruitfull from among the promises made after the formation of the new State, even after many times of presentations made for the fulfillment of assurances, the issues remaind in pending state before the Central Government, hence we had no other option but to protest both inside and outside of the Parliament.
“No question (of supporting the no-confidence motion). It is just a political gimmick. Can they muster 50 per cent of the House (to win the motion)?” asserted Keshava Rao of TRS.
However, the TDP has already moved a no-confidence motion against the Centre in the Lok Sabha yesterday, just few hours after party president N Chandrababu Naidu announced in Amaravati that the party was exiting the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) over the issue of special category status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.
TRS parliamentary party leader and secretary general K Keshava Rao asserted the party’s stance that it openly supports the demand for SCS for Andhra Pradesh.
The main reason cited by TDP for not supporting YSRC’s no-confidence motion is that they doubt for it being a gimmik by BJP for its relations with Jagan.
The TRS thinks that the SCS tag should be brought through negotiation with the Centre, stating that TDP and YSRC had flagged the issue many times and also staged ‘dharnas’.
