Twitterati Loses Its Cool After Delhi University Declared ‘Zero Marks’ Cut-Off For SC/STs
The reservation system is already one of the burning menaces in our country. Started post the Independence in 1948, with no further modifications and updates, the table has turned around surprising everyone.
A reform in such biased education system is already much needed, but, contrary to all of it, the authorities are slapping the faces of the OCs and other caste people by imposing further reservations to few assumed lower castes. On the top of it, imagine how does it feel like to see lakhs of students favorite ‘Delhi University’ falling to its prey.
Well, that has happened now, Delhi University baffled the Indian students future by making ‘zero marks as cut-off’ to SCs and STs for Ph.D. courses.
This university is always seen as the center of debates regarding the aspects of cutoffs and reservations, and things are similar this time too, the university set a bizarre cut-off as high as 99 per cent. However, when they set out to lower their cutoffs for Ph.D. admission, they went to another extreme level and set it at zero for the SC/ST candidates. The admission notice has irked everyone and students went berserk over this deed.
And netizens did nothing less, the infuriated students took on to their Twitter handles beating the university blue and black.
So an SC student with 40 marks should get opportunity ahead of a GC student with 90%+ marks? Interesting 🤔 https://t.co/dVj1kIFUz3
