Although the ECommerce companies made our shopping process much easier, the tracking of orders and fair transactions has remained quite tough.

Earlier, multiple issues took place when people duped popular online stores like Flipkart. Various cases were registered such as raising the false claims on receiving empty boxes, the getting refunds. Technology has grown far better than before, however, it took more than 36 months to figure out what these students from Kota, Rajasthan are looting from the prominent ECommerce company.

Two students residing in Kota has duped the company with 152 expensive Smartphones. The e-commerce company Flipkart has filed a complaint regarding the fraud of the two guys. Police have arrested and still interrogating regarding the issue. The arrested students were produced in a court that sent them on a six-day police remand. Both the students are the residents of Beech Gawndi village in Madhya Pradesh.

Following the capture of these fraudsters, Rajasthan Police claimed that they were members of fraudsters gang. Rahul Meena (20), a B.Tech student in Gwalior and Dharamraj Meena (20), an engineering graduate from Jaipur. Flipkart had filed a complaint and an investigation was carried out, the convicts were produced in a court that sent them to six-day police remand.

Sawai Singh Godara, Superintendent of Police (city) said: “Manoj Chaudhary, the zonal manager of Flipkart had on September 24 has complained that some persons had duped the company of Rs 50 and 55 lakhs and 152 expensive phones. According to the e-commerce website, Dharamraj and Rahul had been ordering expensive mobile sets with different names, IDs, and addresses. Then, they used to get a refund from the company by falsely claiming that they have received empty boxes.”

Godara further said “these students were involved in duping the company for the last one-and-a-half-year.

The doubt arose when the company officials noticed that two bank account numbers sent for refund were same”.

Despite those two students, have also arrested five other persons who were involved in purchase and resale of the mobile phones. Police claimed that more arrests in connection with the case are possible.
