UNIRAJ Election 2018: 8 Lakh Rajasthan University Students to Vote Today – Earlier this month, officials of the dean student’s welfare & international students advisor University of Rajasthan, confirmed that RUSU Election 2018 date for UNIRAJ is 31st August 2018. And, here we go.
AIR TIP: The counting of votes will be held at 11:00 AM on 11th September 2018.
There are nine polling locations for RUSU election i.e. PG School of Commerce, PG School of Humanities, PG of Social Science, Centre for Computer Science and Information Technology, Five year Law College, Zoology, Law College & Law College II, Music (Fine Arts) and Centre for Converging technologies. Polling stations and a number of polling booths are also mentioned. Besides UNIRAJ Election 2018, four important revised guidelines for RUSU election 2018 are –
The head of the Unit (Principal/ Head/ Director) being the patron of the Union will be responsible for the proper conduct of elections at his/ her Unit. Only authorised persons will collect, retain and deliver election material. All precautions must be taken for the safe custody of ballot papers, election-related material etc. There will be nice polling locations (consisting of 2301 (RR) polling stations having 91+2 (RR) polling booths) in the campus viz. the list mentioned above. Polling of research scholars’ representative for UNIRAJ Election 2018 will be held at PG School of Humanities in room no. 112.
Dr. Sarina Kalia, Dean, Students’ Welfare, Chief Returning Officer and Professor V V Singh, Chief Election Officer, RUSU Elections 2018 forwarded this revised guidelines notice on 27th August 2018 to all the heads of teaching departments, all the directors of teaching departments, all the principals of constituent college, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.
A number of booths along with their respecitve code at each polling station have already been finalized. All invalid votes shall be counted and discarded however the counting of valid votes will be done simultaneously. Any other mark of identification, except the prescribed “cross-sell” shall render such a vote as invalid. Reportedly, besides the fact that RUSU Ballot Boxes are to be handed over to the DSW office, no candidate/ polling agent/ voter shall be allowed to keep a mobile phone with him/ her during the period of polling and counting.
