Vinod Khanna Passed Away At 70 After Battling With Cancer! Bollywood Mourns After Legendary Actor’s Demise
Bollywood Superstar Vinod Khanna who is the favorite actor of millions of movie buffs, passed away this morning. Yes, there were reports that the actor was battling cancer; doctors tried their best but the treatments didn’t work.
Recently, a photo of him had gone viral and people were shocked to see him in such a weak condition; however, his family had stated that he was admitted to the hospital due to severe dehydration.
While sons Rahul and Akshaye had issued statements saying the actor was fine, not commenting if he had cancer, it was today’s that the news of his death broke out on the internet. The actor was 70-year-old and hospitalized for quite some time.
A statement from the hospital said:
“Veteran actor and Member of Parliament Mr. Vinod Khanna, who was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital breathed his last at 11.20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma.”
The news of his death has shocked everyone!
Vinod Khanna made his debut in 1968 with Mann Ka Meet. He went on to win numerous awards, including the Filmfare award for best supporting actor for Haath ki Safaai and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999.
He had given many hits in the 1970s and 1980s like Lahu Ke Do Rang, Amar Akbar Anthony, Jurm, Dayavaan, Qurbani, Imtihaan, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Mere Apne and many more.
Later, in the year 1997, the actor joined politics and became the BJP MP of Gurdaspur. There’s no denying the fact that he had made our child awesome with his brilliant acting.
