Police Report: 2 students of IIT Kharagpur were killed in a road accident, another man was injured in the accident. The incident happened after a motorcycle collided with a vehicle in the district of West Midnapore on Friday.

The police said that the accident occurred on Friday midnight in the town of Kharagpur.

A police officer from the Kharagpur Police Station said that the 3 students have been identified as Bhabani, Harshit, and Abhinav. They were traveling on a motorcycle when the accident happened, their motorcycle hit a heavy vehicle head-on.

Harshit and Abhinav were both declared as dead upon arrival at 2 different hospitals, but Bhabani was referred to a hospital in Kolkata, the police officer from the Kharagpur Police Station said that the condition of Bhabani is still critical.

The police officer added that Harshit and Abhinav were from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, while Bhabani is from Rajasthan.

A team has been assigned to investigate the accident, and with the hopes that they could track the driver and the vehicle that was involved in the accident that killed 2 IIT Kharagpur students.
