World’s Biggest Mobile Experience Centre Inaugurated By Samsung In Bengaluru

Bengaluru: South Korean technology giant Samsung on Tuesday set up the world’s largest mobile experience centre in Bengaluru at a time which is barely two months after it inaugurated the biggest mobile factory in Noida.

As per the statement was given by Mohandeep Singh, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India, the tech company is trying to become a part of the larger community in the city of Bengaluru and this will be an extension of the firm’s “Make for India” efforts.

“We are looking at more number of such experience centres in the country. We are looking at covering all the big cities in India over a period of time with such centres,” Mr. Singh said while speaking to news agencies.

However, there was no mention from him for a timeline set for the launch of other such centers in India.

The iconic Opera House of Bengaluru located on Brigade Road got a facelift to make it into “Samsung Opera House” that binds together, technology, lifestyle, and innovation to provide a unique experience to users as well as prospective buyers.

The experiences which will be availed by the centre would be Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR) and Internet of Things (IoT) and along with that the enthusiasts will be for the first time able to enjoy VR experiences such as the “4D Sway Chair” or the “Whiplash Pulsar 4D chair” that makes 360 degrees three dimensional movements.

The tech giant would also offer a glimpse of the full line-up of its range of smartphones and wearable devices at the experience center along with its main products in consumer electronics like QLED TV, Smart TVs and “Family Hub” refrigerators.

There will also be a center that would house a home appliance zone displaying a kitchen set-up where a chef would use Samsung smart ovens to give live cooking demonstrations.

Along with that, this will become the biggest ever display of Samsung accessories like cases, covers and power banks at the “Samsung Opera House” where prospective buyers would get offers like customization options for accessories.

“They would be given choices such as installation of military strength skins for screen protection and 360-degree body protection (for phones). They can also get laser engraving done of any design or content on the mobile covers they choose,” the company added.

In Noida, the South Korean company had announced last year a whopping Rs. 4,915 crore of investment as a part of its expansion plan of Noida plant. And now the new facility is ready to double the production.
