Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro Sales Crossed 5-Million Mark in India
Xiaomi has claimed on Thursday that within first four months of its launch, Redmi Note 5-Series has crossed the 5-million sales mark in India. Both of the phones of the Redmi series the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro were launched in February and have reached their goals in June.
In this series by Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 5 was launched with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro with an initial price of Rs. 13,999. But a few weeks back due to PCBA import taxes and the depreciation of the rupee the price of the phones were raised by Rs. 1,000 last month. Both smartphone models feature a thin-bezel, 18:9 display, selfie-light module, and a large, 4000mAh battery. The smartphones are competing against the likes of the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, Moto G6, and Oppo Realme 1.
Xiaomi claims that both the flagship models have created a new record in the segment and the smartphones have become the fastest selling phone series in India regarding it crossed the five million mark in such a short period of time.
“Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, including all variants for both smartphones, has gained massive popularity and received huge love from Mi fans. We have worked diligently to ramp up the supplies of our Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro so that Mi Fans can buy them easily at any time,” the company said in a press statement while announcing the new success.
According to a news in the first flash sale of Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro of nearly three minutes, Xiaomi sold more than 300,000 units of the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. Such a figure clearly showcased the strong demand for the latest Redmi Note-Series models. Besides this, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is still available for flash sale rounds while the Redmi Note 5 is available both online and offline.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro both are dual sim smartphones that run on Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 and features a 5.99-inch full-HD (1080×2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 450-nit brightness, and 83 percent NTSC color gamut. Redmi Note 5 draws its power from Snapdragon 625 SoC and is knotted with Adreno 506 GPU which has up to 4GB of RAM, the Redmi Note 5 Pro includes a Snapdragon 636 SoC, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM.
