A 70-year-old man from Shahdara, New Delhi, committed suicide after killing his 38-year-old wife. Officials said that the man hanged himself from a fan inside their house.

Manak Chand, the 70-year-old man, killed his second-wife, Lakshmi, before committing suicide.

The grandson of Manak Chand found them dead inside their house and informed the police about it.

DCP Meghna Yadav of the Shahdara Police said that preliminary investigations concluded that no one broke into the house.

DCP Yadav added that the family of Manak Chand does not suspect any foul play.

According to the family of Manak Chand, the 70-year-old and his 38-year-old wife were not getting along.

The police found a brick inside their house, officials say that Manak Chand repeatedly hit Lakshmi with a brick, which caused her death.

Manak Chand has 7 kids.

Officials will continue to investigate the incident.
