[WATCH] A Monkey Hoists The Indian National Flag On 71st Independence Day In Haryana

Patriotism is an attachment to a homeland. This attachment can be viewed in terms of different features relating to one’s own homeland, including ethnic, cultural, political or historical aspects. It encompasses a set of concepts closely related to those of nationalism.

Hoisting a flag, especially our national flag is a great pride. Not everyone could hoist the flag. But in a funny incident that took place on the occasion of India’s 71st Independence Day, a monkey hoisted the Indian flag as everyone surprised. They say that “monkey see, monkey do”.

In a school in Ambala, Haryana, where to the amazement of everyone present, a monkey hoisted the national flag yesterday.

In the video. we can see two monkeys on the rooftop of school, where the Tricolor is furled and ready to be hoisted. One of the monkeys climbs the flagpole and tugs on the string, unfurling the flag as a shower of rose petals tumbles out.

People can be heard cheering and clapping as the flag is successfully hoisted by the monkey.

Mission accomplished, the other monkey scampers away while the flag hoisting ape lingers around, possibly checking if everyone noticed its display of patriotism.
