Over the last few days, the alleged suicide attempt by prominent multi-faceted actor Babloo Prithiveeraj created shock waves, after a Whatsapp audio of him, speaking about him planning to end his life, went viral. Many believed that the actor had indeed committed suicide. Much to everyone’s relief, it was later found that the audio was a part of a short film that was shot by YouTube channel ‘Madras Meter’ to spread awareness about why suicide is not the solution for any problems.

Madras Meter posted, “There’s been a lot of false rumours going around a WhatsApp audio and the industry has recently been traumatized by a wave of talented individuals resorting to the painful option of taking their own life. We decided to really get into the mind of someone who feels similarly and consider if a positive vibe can really impact and bring about a change in their lifestyle. We all share a home on this planet and if you’ve ever had even the slightest doubt about someone feeling off or showing signs of depression, make sure you act and do something to alleviate their sense of powerlessness. Hoping this touched you in some form and for any sentiments and feelings hurt, we deeply apologize.”

“No matter how hard life can be at times, suicide can never be the solution,” Babloo says in an interview, adding that good things always come out of bad and the controversy actually helped the message reach a large number of people.
