Sushma Swaraj Swiftly Acts On Shooter Abhinav Bindra’s Tweet About Lost Passport, She Asks For Gold Medal
India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s Twitter handle usually gets flooded with queries from those in need of help and the minister often tries her best to answer each one of them. In the same way, Sushma Swaraj’s Twitter handle received an uncanny request for help from 2008 Olympic gold medalist in Shooting and he is Abhinav Bindra.
His regard was that his Coach lost his passport. He was on his way to Rio for the Pre-Olympics. Abhinav was left stranded in Germany, after his Coach’s passport got stolen. He then got an idea and left a message to Sushma Swaraj for the help.

Abhinav tweeted “Ma’am my coaches passport is stolen in Cologne and need assistance. We are on our way to Rio for the Pre-Olympics. We are stuck. Need your help in order to secure a new travel document and Brazil visa to be able to compete successfully.”

The Minister swiftly responded to Abhinav’s plea, by resolving the issue in a matter of minutes.

Abhinav soon received a tweet from the Indian Ambassador in Germany saying, “Bindra. Please tell me the problem. We will help you. Ambassador Gurjit Singh.”

Within an hour, the matter was resolved and Abhinav was quick to thank the Ministry saying ” with your good wishes ma’am. Will do my best and will not leave any stone unturned in this Endeavour.”
