In a shocking incident at Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, a group of Sadhus clashed with the Police and thrashed them. In the video below, the Sadhus and some devotees are seen beating the Police and running behind them. The Sadhus belong to the Juna Akhara Sect.

According to the reports, the Sadhus had complained about the thefts at their camp to the Police. They also handed over suspected thieves to the Police who were later let off without any probe. The Sadhus also protested against the police due to some incidents of Violence and thefts.

A Sadhu was hospitalized after he was attacked with a sharp weapon near a temple, a motorcade of sadhus was attacked at two places, causing damage to their vehicles and many other incidents took place.

The Simhastha Kumbh Mela started on April 22 and is said to conclude on May 21.
