In a thrilling match between Delhi Daredevils and Gujarat Lions yesterday, Suresh Raina’s team survived from Chris Morris to go to the top of the points table. Chris Morris, who came in at no. 6 when Delhi needed 115 runs from less than 10 overs. He then started smashing Gujarat Lions bowlers with his superb sixes and boundaries. Delhi Daredevils bought Chris Morris for a whopping amount of Rs. 7 crores.

But Delhi Daredevils team fall short by one run despite Chris Morris’s 32-ball 82* and eight sixes, JP Duminy’s 48 and Imran Tahir’s three-wicket haul. Apart from Gujarat Lions openers Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith innings, South African duo Imran Tahir and Chris Morris had broken their momentum.

Finally, Delhi Daredevils needed 14 runs from the last over off Dwayne Bravo. Chris Morris brought the equation down to 10 runs from 5 balls with a superb boundary off the first ball. But Bravo managed to concede two 1’s and two 2’s in next four deliveries. The equation of DD needed 4 runs off 1 ball made every DD fan heart stop for a while. Bravo who delivered an intelligent Yorker to Morris resulted in 2 runs.

Hence, Bravo could finally be successful in stopping Chris Morris storm in the last over and managed to win the game for his team Gujarat Lions.
