NEET 2016 Schedule| Exam To Be Conducted in Two Phases
National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) can be conducted on 1st May 2016 instead of All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Test (AIPMT). Supreme Court has asked the Centre to implement the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) from the academic year 2016-17 for the MBBS and BDS Exam.
NEET is a single common entrance test for medical courses including MBBS, BDS and PG courses in all medical colleges when it scrapped it is 2013 order to stop the single common entrance test. Candidates can check NEET 2016 schedule here.
NEET Schedule 2016:
As per the proposal by the Centre and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), NEET can be conducted in two phases this year.The NEET is conducted in two phases. The first phase of NEET can be conducted on May 1 instead of the scheduled AIPMT; the second phase can be held on July 24.
As per the source, 6.5 lakh candidates can appear in the first phase of NEET while 2.5 lakh candidates can sit for the test in the second phase. A combined result will be declared on August 17 and the entire admission procedure completed by September 30.
However, with the NEET, the competition for securing the 52,000 plus seats in the MBBS course may get a lot tougher for lakhs of students across the country.
NEET 2016 is to be conducted in two phases instead of AIPMT. The first phase of the exam is on 1st May 2016 and the second phase is in the month of July 2016.
