#PoMoneModi (Get Lost Modi) Trends On Twitter After PM Modi Compares Kerala To Somalia
Angry Twitterati in Kerala launched a blitzkrieg on Twitter, with the hashtag #PoMoneModi (Get Lost Modi), after Prime Minister Narendra Modi compared the infant mortality rates among Scheduled Tribes in Kerala with that of Somalia.
This is what PM Modi said, “The unemployment rate in Kerala is at least three times higher than the national average. Infant mortality rate among the Scheduled Tribe community in Kerala is worse than Somalia.”
Modi’s comparison of Kerala with Somalia during a Bharatiya Janata Party rally in Kasargod has not gone down well with the citizens of the state. The tag #PoMoneModi, derived from Po Mone Dinesha, a dialogue in Mohalal-starrer Narasimham, was trending on the micro-blogging site with over 25,000 tweets.
Here’s how Twitterati reacted:
Kerala is India’s pride. Best gender ratio, best education statistics. #PoMoneModi

Po as in paw. #PoMoneModi roughly translates to “get lost Modi”. It is a rehash of Mohanlal’s dialogue in Narasimham movie: Po Mone Dinesha
