Most Awaited Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Set To Launch On March 3

Xiaomi has announced the launch date of the much awaited Redmi Note 3 in India. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is launching in India on March 3, confirmed the company on Twitter. “This is the date you’ve been waiting for the most: the launch event of Redmi Note 3 is happening on March 3, 2016,” said the company in a facebook post. he company is unveiling the smartphone at an open event at Talkatora Stadium, where it has invited its fans as well as the media.

Featuring a metal body, the Redmi Note 3 is engineered with a MediaTek octa-core processor and comes in two variants – 16 GB (with 2 GB of RAM) and 32 GB (with 3 GB of RAM). The handset was originally launched in China with Mediatek’s Helio X10 processor under the hood. Due to the ongoing patent dispute, Xiaomi will release Redmi Note 3 smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset in the domestic market.

Redmi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1080x1920p) resolution and runs on MIUI 7 software, based on Android Lollipop OS. Its fingerprint sensor is claimed to unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds. Connectivity suite of the smartphone consists of the usual: 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and dual-sim functionality.

Redmi Note 3 packs with a 4,000mAh battery and a 13MP camera with phase detection autofocus and two-tone LED flash on the back as well as a 5MP camera for selfies. It is designed with 8.65 mm thickness and weighs 164g. The 16 GB model is priced at 899 RMB (around Rs 9,400), and 32 GB at 1099 RMB (around Rs 11,500). The company, however, is yet to announce prices for the Indian market.
