This Kashmir boy’s story makes you spellbound. His excel at cricket without arms is heart touching. He can bowl, bat and also field. Amir Hussain Lone, a 26-year-old boy from Kashmir, lost both his arms in an accident in 1997. Though he lost his arms, he didn’t lose his spirit and courage, he decided to face life as it comes.
Amir plays the port like any other cricketer, perhaps better. He bowls with his right leg holding the ball within his leg fingers. He bats by keeping the bat between his neck and chin. In one word, he can be described as a living example of the very popular saying ‘nothing is impossible’.
When Amir was 8, he lost his arms in an accident at his father’s sawmill. Amir’s father sold his property and spent all his money for his treatment despite being advised otherwise by people and Amir cannot be more thankful.
“I’ve never lost hope. I’ve never accepted defeat. I’ve always said that I’ll keep going. That’s my desire,” Amir says. Hats-off to this youngster for leading his life without any negative thoughts and become de-moralize.
