In a tragic incident, A 13-year-old boy named Aarthav Jindal fell off the balcony of his relative’s house on the first floor, while hurling water balloons at passersby in northwest Delhi’s Rani Bagh. The boy sustained injuries in his spine, head and neck. He was admitted in a hospital where his condition is stated to be critical but stable.

A CCTV grab showed the boy, Aarthav Jindal, climbing atop the balcony railing to throw a balloon. He then lost his balance and fell on the road below hitting his head against the pavement.

According to police, the incident took place at around 2.15 PM on March 19 when Aarthav had gone to his paternal aunt’s house in Rani Bagh. No case was registered.

“Within a couple of hours, we identified the hospital where the child was undergoing treatment. We approached the boy’s family and gathered the details of the incident. The family did not suspect any foul play,” Police said.
