[Video] Hearing Azaan, PM Modi Pauses His Speech At Kharagpur Election Rally
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was delivering his speech on Sunday at an election rally in Kharagpur, West Bengal. In a generous move, Modi paused his speech for over five minutes, on hearing Azaan (Islamic call to prayer) in a nearby mosque. Even as thousands of people who had gathered there urged him to continue, Modi gestured with his hands signalling them to calm down. Resuming his speech after the azaan ended, he said, “Azaan(call to prayer) was on, there shouldn’t be any problem in anyone’s prayers because of us, that is why I paused for few moments.”

Speaking at the rally, Modi said: “I have 3 point agenda that is development, development at a fast pace and development from all sides.” He also said the ruling Trinamool and the Left have ‘destroyed’ the state for the last 40 years, as he sought people’s support for BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections.
