Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-hyped film “Enthiran 2” was launched on Wednesday, 16 December, and the shooting has started in Chennai. As per the Tamil calendar, the month of Margazhi begins on Wednesday and hence the makers have started shooting on an auspicious day.

Rajinikanth will be joining the regular shooting in January or February, as he is currently busy with his forthcoming film “Kabali.” According to sources, the shooting of “Enthiran 2” will be held at EVP Film City in the outskirts of Chennai, where a huge set has been erected.

Buzz says that Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was supposed to play the role of a baddie, has opted out of the movie. Reports say that Bollywood actor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, who had made his Tamil debut in “Kaththi” has been approached and he is likely to act in the flick.

Beautiful actress Amy Jackson will be playing female lead role in the movie. She will be seen in the role of an antagonist and there will be one more big actress from Bollywood who will be paired opposite Superstar in the film. More details about cast and crew will be announced soon.

Direction by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions, the film is a sequel to 2010 Tamil blockbuster film ‘Endhiran.’ Rajinikanth played dual roles of a scientist and robot in the first part while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played the female lead with Danny Denzongpa playing the antagonist’s character.
