What would you do if you saw a person falling from the 11th floor of a building? While most would probably panic and freeze, one brave man took immediate action and actually put himself in harm’s way to try and catch a woman with bare hands as she was falling to the ground.

This incident happened at Enshi City in central China’s Hubei Province when Passer-by Feng Ning was walking out of a restaurant when he heard someone crying for help from the nearby residential building. He then saw a woman hanging from the 11th-floor window and immediately jumped into action to save the woman. The incredible moment was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.

The surveillance video footage showed Feng Ning running in front of the building at around 21:45. He kept changing his position while looking up to the building; seconds later, the woman fell right into his arms. Due to the huge impact, Feng was immediately knocked down on the ground and was carried to one side of the street by the locals.

Feng Ning was sent to the hospital after his heroic attempt to save the woman, but the woman did not survive unfortunately. Feng was left with injuries to his knees and legs. I don’t regret. It’s a shame that I couldn’t save her, says Feng.
