27-year-old ‘Arrow’ star Colton Haynes’s sexuality has been the subject of heavy media speculation for some time. The actor has always remained silent about his sexuality, but a recent Tumblr post has fans of the ‘Teen Wolf’ star in a frenzy.

On Saturday, a Tumblr user wrote, “When I found out Colton Haynes had a secret gay past I got so excited even though I know it makes absolutely no difference in my life.”

Haynes quickly responded to the remark, saying:  “Was it a secret? Let’s all just enjoy life & have no regrets :)”

Twitter users were quick to react to the response with reactions ranging from “I’m really happy for him” to “He’s been out since he left the womb.”

Although the actor has thus far remained tight-lipped about the meaning behind his remark, a number of publications have interpreted the post as him publicly acknowledging that he’s gay.

The “secret gay past” that the Tumblr user was referencing could refer to a March 2006 photo series that ran in the now-defunct publication XY which purportedly showed Haynes kissing another man. Back in 2013, Haynes was spotted in an airport holding hands with his “Arrow” co-star, John Barrowman, who is gay for the paparazzi in what appeared to be a flirtatious joke.

Meanwhile, Haynes has a gay brother, Joshua. Last year, he shared an adorable photo of a family getaway with Joshua’s husband, Scott, and their daughter, Wren, on Instagram.

Ten years later, perhaps Haynes has finally become comfortable enough in his own skin. Since most celebrities seem to already be out before finding themselves in the limelight these days, the pressure to bother with a public statement seems to have dissipated.
