But despite all that, people of Paris have come out to manifest their support for Chennai flood victims.

An online global crowd-funding campaign called #ShareForChennai was initiated for raising funds for the Tamil Nadu flood victims. The campaign has seen massive support from Paris residents. A lot of Parisians have posted photos to promote the campaign that asks supporters to donate the money that they spend on their one time meal to the flood victims in Chennai.

Social media users have been sharing pictures from Paris, with captions like ‘Pray for Chennai’. Climate change activists who have participated in demonstrations at the United Nations conference on climate change (COP21) have also shared their pictures, showing their support towards the crowd funding campaign.

It’s just really heartwarming to see people from different countries showing such generosity and solidarity, especially during a time when they themselves are dealing with the shock of the recent terror attacks.
