Anaconda in the bengaluru streets:

It was a clever thought of a NGO in bengaluru city to express their views regarding the maintanance of roads in the city and to bring people’s attention to civic issues. Namma Bengaluru Foundation(NBF) an NGO in Bengaluru has decided and have came up with a brilliant idea to create this super big, scary and quite realistic anaconda and there by installing it in one of the water logged potholes of a Yeshwanthpur market nearby. The locals were really in a terrifying shock and scared to see that anoconda in streets and how an anaconda can enter the city.

An NGO in Bengaluru, has taken an initiative to catch the attention of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike to get the roads repaired. The city was suffering from lack of proper drainage systems which is resulting in never ending traffic jams causing trouble to many of the civilians. During monsoons, because of the poor maintaince of drainage systems and road maintainance the patholes remains water logged for several days and is causing not just never ending traffic jams but also leading to water borne diseases like malaria and dengue as stagnant water provides breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Crocodile in Bengaluru streets:

This is not the first time in Bengaluru a civic group has come up with the idea of street art to highlight such issues. A few months ago, artist Beedal Nanjundaswamy has installed a crocodile in one of the patholes. A series of attempts to embarrass the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike into taking the quality of roads seriously.

“There is humour, art, sarcasm in the craft, but more importantly, there is a deeper message in it that we are trying to deliver”. There has been an overwhelming demand for anacondas and people are giving locations across the city for such installations, said Sridhar Pabbisetty, CEO, Namma Bengaluru Foundation.
