IBPS 2015: Waiting candidates protest against board’s delay in Placement
Around 12,000 candidates got direct placement after the declaration of the results while the rest were put under the waiting list. Eleven months and counting, the students are awaiting jobs, as promised by the IBPS Board. Amijesh singh, one of the students on the waiting list, said, “We cleared our exam in March 2014 and the validity gets over in March 2015. After the validity gets over, our efforts become useless. The authorities must do something at the earliest.”
These candidates had appeared in the exam sessions which were conducted in January 2014. Around 6,000 candidates out of 18,000; who cracked the exam, are yet to be placed. Result for the competitive exam was announced in March 2014.
Protestors claimed that the authorities have been ignoring their phone calls for past few months now. Given that the Board’s attitude is affecting their careers, bank job aspirants are planning to take the legal route against IBPS board.
