“Baahubali” sets a new record by crossing “PK” Box Office Collections
It was nearly a month ago that SS Rajamouli became one of the most bankable names of the Indian film industry when ‘Bahubali’ opened to a thunderous response at the box office, receiving some rave reviews. Now, there is some more good news in store for the director and his loyal fans.
‘Bahubali’ recently became the first non-Hindi Indian movie to rake in over Rs 500 crore at the ticket window. Other Indian films that have achieved this feat are ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘PK’. Interestingly, both of them featured Aamir Khan in the lead.
Baahubali Domestic Net Box Office Collections Crossed PK:
Bahaubali‘s box office collections within India have amounted to more than a net figure of Rs 345 crores in the span of just 24 days, beating out Pk‘s record of 339 crores. However, Aamir Khan’s Pk has been beaten only as far as the domestic box office collections pertaining to India are concerned. And trade analysts say that this record will stay for long.

Baahubali Worldwide Gross Collections crosses 500 Crores:
As far as worldwide collections are concerned, Aamir Khan’s Pk still holds the record for the highest collections by an Indian movie, grossing well over Rs 700 crore. Worldwide, Baahubali has grossed more than Rs 500 crore at the box office.

With this, Baahubali movie managed to become the third all time highest grosser Indian movie. Baahubali brought nearly Rs 150 Crore profit for its distributors. It is the fourth successful week for Baahubali and everyone is curiously waiting to see more records shatter.

Baahubali, a mythological drama about two brothers at war for a kingdom, stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The second part in the franchise is slated for release next year.
