Security Intensified in Dadri After Muslim Man Killed Following Cow Slaughter Rumour

Cops have deployed massive security forces in Dadri town after a 50-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death following a hearsay of cow slaughter by unidentified sources. Local sources claim that the son of the deceased man was severely injured in the attacks of a mob which attacked victims sticking with the rumor that their family was running a business of slaughtering cows.

After the spread of rumors across the village family of Iqlakh was brutally beaten by more than 200 members on Monday 8 September 2015. Locals of the village and panicked and tension is prevailing among the villagers after the occurrence of the barbaric incident. Police said “Iqlakh family was attacked by the mob believing the baseless spread rumor that a cow was slaughtered by them.” Deceased Iqlakh, head of the family was brutally beaten allegedly by the mob while his son Danish is undergoing treatment at a hospital serving the injuries.

It is being reported that rumors against Iqlakh and his family consuming beef which was baseless, earlier have made the viral word to get on fire killing the innocent. Jaan Mohammad a relative of the victim briefed the incident  as “An announcement was made at a local temple that a cow has been slaughtered in Dadri, following which a large number of people attacked our family.”

Clash has ensued between the angry mob and police when cops were trying to control them resulting the death of a person who was identified as Rahul Yadav. Rahul was hot by the police unintentional while controlling the mod to which Sanjay Singh, Superintendent of Police (Rural) said “police has been deployed in the area and an FIR has been filed against 10 people for attacking the family, six of whom were arrested.”

N P Singh, District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar said “there have been protests by villagers demanding action against those involved in the slaughter of a cow. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident. UP CM Akhilesh Yadav has announced an exgratia compensation of Rs10 lakh to the family of the victim.”

Official sources added that Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav have ordered the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police, Noida to provide full protection to the family of the victim.
