Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his first interview after securing one of the biggest mandates in Lok Sabha elections. And the opportunity was grabbed by India’s famous journalist, Times Now’s editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami. Though this is the third time that Modi is appearing on television, this is his first one to one interview to a private news channel since he became the Prime Minister (He had appeared on the show, once before the 2009 General elections and the second time before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections). And this is also the first ever interview by a sitting Prime Minister of India to a private television news channel in the country.

Speaking with Arnab Goswami on Frankly Speaking, Narendra Modi answered some critical questions on a whole range of topics ranging from the Indian Foreign Policy under the NDA government, domestic issues, NSG deal to terrorism, friendship with neighbouring countries, and inflation. But the interview didn’t feature a single question on relation with RSS, Vadra deals, regarding the constant criticism of Arvind Kejriwal and the Delhi government.
