The most favorite word for the Indian Parents when their child crosses the age of 20 is ‘Marriage’. The very important thing in any Indian parent’s life is getting their child married as soon as they come-of-age. So they come up with random explanations, weird, and sometimes, outright bizarre reasons to get their kids married. Parents resort to different methods to convince their children that a better half is the only missing piece in their life.

A Hyderabad-based online dating portal called ‘QuackQuack’ has recently launched a photo series campaign titled #HappilySingle and captured various reasons Indian parents give to their children in order to get them married. The campaign struck a chord amongst thousands of young people and immediately went viral, which is proof enough of how young people really feel about their parents constantly pestering them to get married.
