16-year-old Raghav Chandak Fights Cancer; Scores 95.8% in ICSE
Raghav Chandak, a cancer patient about 16 years has a desire to score good marks in ICSE examination. Where there is a will there is a way, likewise, as he is very much interested, he took the textbooks to the hospital bed and studied hard for his ICSE examination. As always the hard work wins he scored 95.8 per cent in ICSE examination.
“My cousin who also studies in the same class supplied all notes to me,” the 16-year-old boy told.
“He was in the hospital for one-and-a-half months at a stretch. And then he had to go for about seven days each month to the hospital for chemotherapy which weakened his immune system but not the spirit to fight,” said Manoj Chandak, Father of Raghav Chandak.
The School administration took steps to help this boy and made him achieve his goal. They supported the boy very much in every aspect. Also, he was asked to call up anytime to any teacher to help him in any aspect. At the time of Chemotherapy, teachers used to take care of his notebooks.
“I would not have been able to do this without everyone’s support – my parents, teachers, friends, cousin and our family doctor,” the teenager said.
