The Thane Rural Police arrested a 32-year-old man for killing 3 kittens by throwing them in fire at a housing society in Mira Road.

32-year-old Siddesh Patel was arrested under Indian Penal Code section 429 (for killing or maiming animals) and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.

A few members of the housing society said that Siddesh tried to kill the 3 kittens 2 days ago, but luckily, the kittens managed to escape.

The incident was caught in the CCTV Cameras that were present in the housing society.

The members of the housing society reported the incident to an animal rights NGO, the group reported the incident to the police and a case was registered.

Senior Police Inspector Kailash Barve of the Naya Nagar Police Station said that they are trying to know why Siddesh Patel tried to kill the 3 kittens.
