An Italian national of 37-year-old lady lodged a complaint against a man who claimed to be a tour guide for touching her inappropriately and then r*ping her in Mumbai’s Juhu area on 14th of June.

According to the complaint filed on Friday, police said that, On the day of the incident, the victim boarded a bus as a part of sightseeing tour of Mumbai. She met that self-claimed tour guide during her bus tour on June 14. As he introduced himself as a local guide, the victim hired his services.

 

“At around 7 pm after ending the bus tour in Juhu that day, the accused person told the victim to visit the bungalow of Big B Amitabh Bachchan. And then he promised her to drop to the Colaba Hotel where she was planned to stay for the night. He booked a cab for the victim and stopped the vehicle nearby to buy liquor,” police said.

The statement says “The accused then forced her to drink alcohol and touched her inappropriately, and then r*ped her in the car.” Police said that the victim approached the Italian Embassy which suggested her to file a complaint with the local cop. Based on her statement, a ‘ ZERO FIR’ was lodged at Colaba Police station and then it was transferred to Juhu PS for further interrogation
