On the eve of 67th Republic Day, the government has announced the Eminent personalities from across the fields of sports, entertainment and public service are to be awarded the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards for the year 2016.

The second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan will receive by Media Baron Ramoji Rao and Superstar Rajinikanth. One of the most successful directors of the Tollywood, S.S. Rajamouli (Jakana) is chosen for Padma Shri award.

Also, Bollywood actors Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devgan and director Madhur Bhandarkar will also get Padma Shri while Anupam Kher and Singer Udit Narayan will be receiving the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. Sports icons of the country, Sania Mirza and Saina Nehwal are also in the list of Padma Bhushan winners.
