Everyone in the country worship Lord Shiva in different traditions. Though he was a Muslim, Zahir shows equal priority to the temple and a Dargah. He serves in temple and Dargah as well.  A report said that Zahir cleans the premises of Lord Shiva temple by sweeping, decorating and serving Lord Shiva.

He was doing this for the past six years. The temple comes under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and they employed him as the caretaker. When asked him about this job, the 40 year old Zahir says that he finds the job as a privilege and has been happy to serve the temple. No pundit is there to take care of temple.

As the temple doesn’t have a pundit to conduct prayers, Zahir himself helps tourists by offering their prayers and does ‘Archana’ to the Shiva Linga. He also serves Dargah which is nearby to the temple. Zahir believes that his services in both temple and Dargah will teach equality and harmony to his children.

He also says that Religions have never been an obstacle to serve. He believes that all the gods are one, but our way of thinking makes them different. Even Dargah comes under Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). This story proves that how careless is the authorities in serving the Lord and people.
