A Student From Jammu & Kashmir Asked For Sushma Swaraj’s Help, Here’s Her Reply
Now, when it comes to listing out the most graceful and responsible minister the country ever had, the first name that strikes every Indian brain is undoubtedly External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. Since the very beginning of her entry on the social media platform Twitter, she has never shown her back to any helpless person abroad.
Thanks to technology, after all for bridging the gap between the victims and leaders, Sushma Swaraj is quite an amusing person when it comes to fulfilling her duties, this eminent lady responds to every tweet from the Indians abroad, promises help and she does it all the time, no matter whatever the situation might be. Well, back then a month ago, we have seen a netizen asking Sushma Swaraj that is she ready to help him if he was stuck on Mars, the minister wittily replied that Indian embassy would help him even if he was stuck on Mars, and that was surely a facepalm moment for him.
Next, to that, a medical student from Jammu & Kashmir in the Philippines who pinned his location as “Indian occupied Kashmir” sought the help of the external affairs minister who responded saying there is no place called Indian-occupied Kashmir.
Named Sheikh Ateeq, his Twitter username read @SAteEQ019, he requested Swaraj to help him get a new passport and said he needed one to get back to his “home, India” as his health was deteriorating. “I am from J&K doing medicine course here in the Philippines my passport got damaged I applied for the new one 1 month ago I request u pls help me to get it as I literally need to go home for a medical checkup,” Ateeq tweeted. He did this on April 5.
Now again, Ateeq wrote, “Dear ma’am @SushmaSwaraj I greatly need your help. Is there anything u can do to rush the process of my passport as it is damaged. I need to get back to my home, India. My health is deteriorating and I cannot shoulder the expenses any more as I’m student (sic),” he said earlier.
Swaraj finally responded to Ateeq but said that she would have helped him if he had belonged to Jammu and Kashmir and that there was no place called Indian-occupied Kashmir.
Ateeq corrected the location to “Jammu &kashmir/ Manila”. Acknowledging this, Swaraj shared the same few minutes later and asked the Indian envoy in Manila, Jaideep Mazumdar, to help the student.
“I am happy you have corrected the profile. Jaideep – He is an Indian national from J&K. Pls help him,” the minister wrote.
Later, Swaraj went sharing everything that has happened so far
