Aamir Khan Adopts Two Drought-Affected Villages Of Maharashtra
After Nana Patekar and Akshay Kumar supported and adopted many drought-affected villages of Maharashtra, now it’s Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan who joined them and has adopted two drought-affected villages (Tal and Koregaon) in Maharashtra. Aamir Khan’s Paani Foundation has launched Satyamev Jayate Water Cup through which the actor is busy teaching the water preservation techniques in villages of three districts.
According to the reports, Aamir Khan recently visited drought-affected regions of the state and came across two of the most adversely affected villages, Tal, and Koregaon and decided to adopt, support and adopt them.
“Arresting rainwater and conserving every drop are the only options to fight droughts and drought-like situations in the long run. The water issue in Maharashtra is worsening every passing day. To tackle this problem permanently, we have to give preference to the success of Jal Yukta Shivar and similar projects,” Aamir Khan had said.

Aamir Khan was dubbed as anti-national and many BJP leaders had asked him to leave India. But his dedication to helping the people in need earned him plenty of plaudits.
Aamir had earlier adopted a village in Gujarat, which was devastated by earthquakes in 2001.
